Is the electric single-girder crane a gantry type or a bridge type?
Cranes are divided into single beam and double beam crane based on the number of main beams. However, among many single and double beam cranes, electric single-girder cranes have a relatively large market share and are actually used more.
Some cautious but inexperienced crane buyers may question whether electric single girder crane refer to gantry cranes or bridge cranes?

There are both gantry and bridge types of electric single beam cranes. Those who raise the above question clearly cannot distinguish between gantry cranes and bridge cranes.
In short, a gantry crane with supporting legs is a gantry crane, while a bridge crane without supporting legs and installed on workshop cow legs is a gantry crane. Common types of gantry electric single beam cranes include MH, MHL, MDG, MHB, and so on. There are more common types of bridge electric single-girder crane, such as LDA, LX, LDP, and European single beam cranes.

Although they all belong to electric single girder cranes, different models of electric single beam cranes have more or less differences in appearance characteristics and usage scenarios. For example, MHB is a semi gantry crane with only one side support leg, LX is a suspended single beam crane, commonly used in pump rooms, water plants, and equipment maintenance workshops.
