Foundry overhead cranes are used in harsh environments with high temperature and high dust, often lifting molten metal with a working load of A7. Main working process: used for adding molten iron to the converter in the feeding room, and lifting the molten iron to the refining furnace or steel to the ladle turntable in the refining room. The crane is composed of a bridge, a trolley, a long travel system, electrical equipment, etc. All work operations can be completed inside the cabin.
According to the needs of users and the working conditions of the crane, casting cranes are generally divided into double beam single trolley and four beam four rail double trolley types. For ultra large tonnage foundry overhead crane, a four beam six rail double trolley structure is adopted.

Structure of foundry overhead crane
The casting crane mainly consists of a main trolley, auxiliary trolley, bridge structure, trolley running mechanism, gantry hook group, and electrical control. The fixed gantry hook group is suspended on the main trolley through a steel wire rope, and the distance between the two hooks is fixed to lift the ladle. Two small cars can be operated independently to complete various lifting operations, and can also be used in conjunction to complete ladle tipping, residual steel, and slag disposal operations.

Application of foundry overhead crane
It is mainly used in the continuous casting process of steelmaking to inject molten iron into the converter from the feeding room of the converter. Lift the molten steel from the refining room to the refining furnace or from the molten steel room to the ladle turntable of the continuous casting machine. Suitable for high-temperature steel workshops, aluminum workshops, copper workshops, heat treatment workshops, etc. according to different usage situations.
