Truss gantry crane

Description

The truss gantry crane, also known as the flower frame gantry crane, is a gantry crane designed and manufactured for outdoor windy environments with a particularly small windward area. It has the characteristics of light weight, small windward area, low wind resistance, and strong universality, and is widely used in general loading and unloading and lifting operations in construction sites such as highways, bridges, and power plants.

Structure of truss gantry crane

The truss type gantry crane is a gantry main frame structure composed of left and right support legs and main beams. There are left and right track walking mechanisms respectively installed at the lower ends of the left and right support legs, and the main beam is a truss type single main beam. There are two walking guide rails parallel to the longitudinal direction on the main beam, and a walking overhead crane driven by a power source is installed on the walking guide rails. The walking overhead crane is symmetrically equipped with left and right winding mechanisms. A balanced suspension beam with lifting equipment is suspended by a steel wire rope below the left and right hoisting mechanisms, and an electric hoist lifting device is suspended below the main beam.

Applications of truss gantry crane

In general, truss gantry cranes have three kinds of uses:

• First, trussed gantry crane usually used in concrete beam yard, for lift beam girder which is used in bridge build.
• Second, trussed gantry crane will used near to the bridge approach, for construct bridge approach, after finished, engineer gantry crane also for lift concrete beam from ground transporter to bridge transporter, help launcher crane to build the whole bridge.
• Third, engineer gantry crane is used for disassemble and re erect launcher crane.

In order to facilitate move the gantry crane from one erect point to next erect point and save cost, usually, we will provide moveable steel box foundation for engineer gantry crane.
